Band 5+: When you go shopping, do you prefer to pay for things in cash or by card? why?

Your pronunciation is above average. However, you may find complexity in certain words challenging. Regular practice should aid in improvement.

The answer stays on topic and provides relevant details about the payment method. However, there is a slight contradiction: the student first says they pay by cash because they don't have a card, but then mentions that most shops prioritize card payments, which may confuse the listener. To improve clarity, ensure that the explanation is consistent and logically structured. Additionally, consider using more natural linking phrases and avoiding unnecessary repetition.

The answer has some coherence but is marred by unclear phrasing and a logical inconsistency. The student says most shops prioritize card payments, but then explains they don't have the machine for card transactions, which contradicts the initial statement. There is also some repetition and self-correction. To improve, organize ideas more clearly: state the main point (pay by cash), then give reasons (no card, limited card acceptance), and avoid contradictions.

Vocabulary is limited and imprecise. The student uses 'prioritize' incorrectly (should be 'accept' or 'prefer'), 'muscle' instead of 'machine', 'transaxon' instead of 'transaction', and 'CAD' instead of 'card'. The refined version shows the intended meaning. To improve, learn and practice correct terms for common shopping situations (e.g., 'pay by card/cash', 'transaction', 'machine/terminal', 'accept').

Grammar is inconsistent with several errors. 'pay my cash' should be 'pay by cash' or 'pay with cash'. 'don't have any card' should be 'don't have a card' or 'don't have any cards'. 'only few sub-hav allowed' is garbled; the refined version shows 'only few shops have allowed'. The sentence structure is awkward. To improve, focus on basic prepositions (by/with), article usage (a/an/the), and subject-verb agreement. Practice forming clear, simple sentences.
