I think it’s simply because people are more naturally curious about things that are unknown. When they read detective stories, it is really interesting for people to experience how to think independently but also they would imagine themselves as the detective. And we all know for detective stories, for example, the Sherlock. At the first beginning, you have got so many subtle details and information about suspicious, but some of the suspicious would turn out to be innocent. So how do you find the true criminal will be using the critical thinking of people? That is why it is more intriguing because once we started to interact with the stories, it leaves a deeper impression on people and it’s more interesting for people to experience. At the same time, I think people would also enjoy reading how the writer expand and tell the story. For example, for Sherlock, the detective story which were made into a TV drama, so as the movies attract many of the readers, simply because how attractive the stories are and also how attractive the characters are.
