In my opinion, the reason for why some people give up some old friends maybe depends on their thinking and emotion. But for me, I think the common reasons is a group of friends that they don’t have any shamed opinions. And they feel uncomfortable with each other so they break up relationships easily. And besides, misunderstandings also lead to some broken relationships like some friends that they have serious conflict and arguments. But they don’t come up with any ideas to show or they cannot consolidate with each other. So yes, they can easily give up some old friends.
