Currently, I’m a freshman at the University of Transport in Ho Chi Minh City, majoring in English language. I choose to major in English because I have always been passionate about languages and communication. English is not only a global language but also a powerful tool for connecting with people from different countries. I believe that studying English will open up many career opportunities for me in fields like education, translation, and international relations. The most difficult part of my study is listening. Native speakers often speak very fast and sometimes being used long or informal expressions that I do understand. It’s also hard to cut every word so I’m trying to improve my listening skills by watching English movies with subtitles and listening to English podcasts every day. Additionally, I don’t work part-time at the moment because I want to focus on my studies especially since I’m still in my first year at university. However, I’m planning to look for a part-time job in the future to gain experience and improve my English skills. At the moment, I don’t have a clear, real plan yet. Right now, my main goal is to finish my bachelor’s degree in English. After that, I will explore different opportunities and decide which part suits me best.
