People who acquire diverse opinions about whether young people are more influenced by their family or their friends. Even though it is believed that families are the main influence for young people, there are some compelling reasons to assert that friends also play a valid role as well. On one hand, families are the people you live with. They are the people we interact with all the time. They're your sisters, brothers, mothers, and fathers. They're your world. They're the people who give birth to you, so of course, they're going to influence you in some way or another. But on the other hand, nowadays young people hang around their friends more. They prefer to spend time with their friends at school and even when they're home, they're using social media and texting or interacting with their friends. So overall, their friends have a great influence on them. However, the problem arises when it comes to choosing friends. Nowadays, everybody's a friend. You see an influencer and you start copying them, they become your friend and they're influencing you. Are they a good influence on you? Nowadays, it's hard to find that. They're good influencing the good friends, so friends are always a good influence on each other. You have to choose your friends very carefully. That's where the vital role of families comes in. They help young people make the right choices, choose the right friends who are going to influence them positively. Families help monitor young people on the internet so they don't make wrong decisions and gain bad influence from others. Unfortunately, in the world we live in, most young people spend more time in school than with their families. So school also plays an important and vital role in influencing young people. Schools should redirect them from bad habits and help them learn good and beneficial habits that they will use in their lives. They should also be careful about the teachers they hire since teachers are role models for kids and young people. Teachers should be a good influence. Schools should conduct background checks on teachers to ensure they're safe to be around kids. At the end of the day, students spend at least 8 hours daily in school.
