How can societies balance the need for economic growth with the preservation of natural resources and biodiversity?

From my point of view, I think that societies should have a plan, a whole organised plan that can save and preserve the natural resources and keep it safe and in the same time have huge and enormous economic growth. That will make appellance and will make the world better.
