The given chart demonstrates annual carbon dioxide wastes to each person in four countries, such as in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal over five decades from 1967 to 2007.
Overall what stands out from the line graph is that, the indicators of the United Kingdom and Sweden went down considerably, whereas the numbers of Italy and Portugal rose sharply.
Looking in the details, the United Kingdom and Sweden were the highest amount of emmisions per person around 11 metric tonnes and 9 metric tonnes in 1967. Portugals had a lower index, which showed 1 metric tonnes, although Italians doubled. Over the next decades, carbon dioxide emmisions in the highest country fell gradually just under 11, it went down significantly in Sweden.
In contrast, Portugal and Italy presented the lowest rate approximately 2 metric tonnes and nearly 4,5 metric tonnes at tyhe beginning of the year. But in the following three decades, Portugals improved gradually from 3 to 6 metric tonnes, despite Italians fluctuated marginally which described just over 6 and remained stable with about 8,5 metric tonnes over ten years period.
