The bar chart compares US men and women from different age group on bases of how much salt they consumed in 2000. In general, all age group exceeded the recommendation salt intake with the exception of the youngest age group. What’s more, adult consumed much more than female.
Men consistently exhibited higher salt income across all group. While under 6 consumed much less than recommendation at 2000 mg of salt. The figure for the boy next age higher at 3500 mg of salt. The disparity in salt consumes was more pronounced for boy 12-19 bracket over at 4000 mg of salt and those at 20-39 showed a staggering 4500 intake salt, becoming the most consumers amoung all group. However, the figure for 40-60 and over 60 age group intake of salt reduce to 4000 and 3500 respectively.
By contrast, the proportion for women slightly similar expect under 6 intake apptoximately 1300 and for adults over at 3000.Interestinghly, only women in oldest group follow the recommendation consumed at 2500 mg
