The chart depict the total amount of electricity produced in Germany and France from all vailable sources in the year 2009.
Overall, it is clear that conventional thermal and nuclear power source are highly produced in Germany and France while biomass and hydroelectric renewables were most generated in France and Germany.
To begin with, conventional Thermal as a source of electricity was significant in Germany at 59.6% compared to France highest production by Nuclear which stood at 76%.Renewable sources from both countries demonstrated less than a fifth of the total sources of electricity.
To add on,renewables as a fuel source from hydroelectric in France was the major producer at 80.5% unlike Germany which relied on biomass as the major producer of power at 39.3%.In comparison,wind as a source of renewable energy in Germany is highly produced as compared to France with a mere of 10.5% only.Other sources with less than a tenth include solar and geothermal at 0.9% and 6.1% respectively.
