The bar chart represents the number of men and women in further education in Britain in three periods and whether they were enrolled full-time or part-time.
The bar chart is mainly divided into two sections : males and females.During 1970 to 1971, millions of male students enrolled part-time. However, it slipped back to around 950 thousand in 1990 to 1991 after 900 thousand drop in 1980 to 1981. Part-time education tends to show a fluctuating graph that is not predictable. But students who enrolled full-time were exceptions. The number of male students who enrolled full-time increased linearly over the periods 1970/71 to 1990/91(respectively : 100 thousand, around 180 thousand and 210 thousand).
Now for the female students who enrolled for part-time tend to show a rocket during 1990/91; during 1970/71 around 760 thousand female students enrolled for part-time and nearly 900 thousand enrolled during 1980/81, and in 1990/91 in rocket to nearly 1.1million which is the highest enrollment in this chart. For full-time education however, it showed linear growth, similar to male.(respectively : around 80 thousand in 1970/71, 200 thousand in 1980/81 and around 210 thousand in 1990/91)
As a result, this graph showed male and female enrollees during three periods of time. Male enrollees who registered for part-time showed unpredictable enrolment but they also showed linearly increasing enrolment in full-time. Females however, showed rocket in part-time and linearly increasing enrolment in full-time.
