The bar chart provides information about changes in the percentage of UK citizens consuming the recommend daily amount of fruit and greens in three years between 2002 and 2010.
Overall, all the genders, especially women, experienced a growth in the amount of their consumption. Moreover, children gender stood out among others with the highest change in their percentage throughout the whole period.
Both adults (men and women) exhibited larger figures than children. In 2002, started at 22 percent the proportion of men section increased slightly to 28% by 2006, and this was followed by a noticeable increase to a staggering 32% in the percentage of women whose numbers were originally at 25 percent at the beginning point. After four years, there was a minimal decline in the figures for men by 4%. In terms of women, the percentage of them decreased to 27 percent in the last year.
In contrast, the proportion of children was markedly smaller. In 2002, 11 percent of them consumed fruits and vegetables. After this,in 2006, the figures rose to 16% reaching their peak. In the final year, however, there was a marginal reduction to 14%
