The pie charts illustrate five program types of viewership across three age groups.
Overall, while viewership of the news programme increases with age, the figure for the sport programme shows the opposite trend, falling as people age. Notably, the proportions of viewers watching the film programme are comparable across all three age categories.
As for those aged 21-25, the largest segment of viewers watches the news, accounting for 33%, significantly higher than the figure for the drama, at 22%. The proportions of the film and cartoon programmes are virtually identical, at 21% and 20%, respectively. By contrast, viewership of sport programme represents the smallest fraction, at just 4%.
A comparable pattern can be observed in the 10-15 age group, where sport and cartoon programmes attract majority of viewers with the same share, at 26%. These are followed by drama programme, making up 23%. The share of film programme is roughly three times that of the news programme, at 19% and 6%, respectively.
Focusing on the 16-20 age category, the highest proportion of viewers is recorded for the drama programme, at 30%. While this is exactly double that of the cartoon programme, the proportions of viewership in the sport, news, and film programmes are more evenly distributed, with figures ranging from 14% to 23%.
