The pie charts illustrate the average household expenditures in various categories (housing, transport, food, health care, and other goods and services) in Japan and Malaysia in 2010.
Overall, it is evident that transport of Japan and health care of Malaysia made up the highest part of these charts, while housing in both countries contributed the least to the household expenditures.
According to the chart, Japan had experienced the highest percentage in other goods and services portion at 29%, while Malaysia showed three percent less than the Japan. However, food cost and housing expense in Malaysia comprised at 27% and 34% respectively that is 3% and 13% greater than the Japan.
Turning to the transport expenditure, there was almost one third of expense made up in Japan’s chart, while Malaysia accounted for 26% in their overall expenditure. Furthermore, health care contributed the least rate in both countries, and picked up 6% in Japan and 3% in Malaysia during the period.
