Task Response

The report addresses the task by describing the structure and process of the home smokey. It provides an overview and outlines the main steps. However, there are some inaccuracies and omissions in the description (e.g., the role of the lid, the direction of airflow, and the final step). The language contains several grammatical errors and awkward phrasing that affect clarity. To improve, focus on accurately describing each stage in a logical sequence, use precise vocabulary, and proofread for grammatical mistakes.

Coherence & Cohesion

The report has a basic structure with an overview and sequential description, but the flow is disrupted by unclear referencing and awkward phrasing. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes inaccurate (e.g., 'what is closed by lid', 'what is leading a smoke'). Paragraphing is present but could be more effectively managed to separate the overview from the detailed steps. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'subsequently', 'following this') and ensure each sentence logically connects to the next.

Lexical Resource

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks range and precision. There are some errors in word choice and form (e.g., 'structutre', 'transfored', 'ground floor' instead of 'underground'). The phrasing is often repetitive and not sophisticated. To improve, learn more precise technical terms (e.g., 'combustion chamber', 'smoke conduit') and practice using synonyms to avoid repetition. Also, pay attention to spelling and word formation. Boost vocabulary complexity to elevate the overall score.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The report contains frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity, including incorrect verb forms ('is utilized', 'passed', 'is transfored'), missing articles, and misuse of relative pronouns ('what' instead of 'which/that'). Sentence structures are mostly simple and sometimes incomplete. To improve, review basic grammar rules, especially verb tenses (present simple passive), relative clauses, and subject-verb agreement. Practice writing more complex sentences with accurate punctuation.
