The given maps compare the layout of a sports centre in a university in two period of time 1990 and at the present time.
Overall, as can be seen evidently the sports centre has been modernised and replaced with more sports facilities. The park and car park have been removed and transformed into new two types of court, whereas the reception has remained in the same location.
Looking into the map in 1990 specifically, it is observable that the western side of the sports centre consisted of a large park in the north and a car park in the south. In the centre of the site was the reception, with a changing room located just below it and a small café situated beside. To the east, there was an outdoor swimming pool in the northern corner and two tennis courts in the south.
In terms of the layout after the transformation, certain major changes have taken place. The outdoor pool now has been replaced by an indoor pool. Meanwhile, the changing room has been extended in size and moved slightly to the east. A new fitness centre has also been constructed below the changing room. Additionally, the aforementioned park has been converted into a basketball court. At the same time, there has been a replacement where the car park has been altered by two extra tennis courts, increasing the number of courts to four courts in total. As regards the reception and café, these sections remain unchanged.
