The two provided maps depicts the village of Reymouth in 1995 and now. From the given visual information we can draw a conclusion about settlement’s development.
At first glance, there are plenty of indicationts suggesting, that the village of Ryemouth have been reorganizing from a fishermen village to a sea reasort.
Back in 1995 there was fishermen infrastructure on the southern costline. However, none of it stayed to this day. The fishing port was demolished and the fishing market was replaced by new appartments with a luxurours view towards the sea. Across the street there used to be a shop, which was reorganized to a restaurant, fitting sea resort’s needs much better. Ryemouth’s east was deforested and combined with the farmland, streching all the way up north. This whole area was turned into the golf field and tennis courts. In the west, there are a couple of new houses built, tapping in from previously non-existant street.
To wrap up, Ryemouth has transfortmed from artisan’s village to a sea resort.
