The two maps illustrate the difference of a village in Eyemouth in 1995 to the present. Overall, the village had witnessed many remarkable changes after a period of time.
Looking at the maps , it is clear that at the left side of the main road, a new one had been built as the number of houses increased. About the hotel which is on the right side of the right turn, there was a new construction of a parking lot next to the hotel itself. Furthermore, the fishing port located at the beach now was demolished, meanwhile the cafe at the Southeast remained unchanged after years.
As regards other features, shops and fish markets were turned into restaurants and apartments, but still opposite to each other at the left turn of the road. The most noticeable change was the land at the Northeast of the map, from a farmland and a forest park now merged and became the golf course with two tennis courts at the corner.
