The given chart presents the data about the differences in average house prices in Newyork, Madrid, Tokyo, Frankfurt and London in between 1990 and 2002 in comparison with the average prices in 1989.

Overall, the prices of the houses mostly decreased until 1990-1995 before increasing throughout the remaining years.

Over the five years period, specifically 1950-115 the cost of accommodation in Newyork, Tokyo and London decrease by 5% and about 8% respectively in comparison to 1989. On the other hand, the house prices increased by about 2% and roughly 3% in Madrid and Frankfurt respectively.

In the remaining years, the cost of living skyrocketed in London by over 10% more than 1989, being the highest out of five countries. Similarly, the cost of houses in the New York rose to 5% more, being the second most expensive city for accommodation, while the cost of houses remained at the lower side in Tokyo with just a marginal difference of about 2%in comparison to recent years. The prices of house in Madrid increased, while it decreased in Frankfurt in comparison to1989.
