The line chart illustrates the proportion of Australian exports to Japan, the US, China, and Indian between 1990 and 2012.

Overall, there are two opposite trends can be seen in the graph, increasing in China and India and decreasing in the rest. Besides, both in the beginning year and the last year, the figure for India was lowest.

The percentage of Australian exports to Japan in 1990 was about 25%, which reached the bottom at about 17% in 2002 before fluctuating around 2% in around 3 years and then increasing gradually to 20% in 2008. In 4 year later, this figure witnessed a steady decrease and reached about 18% in the last year. In contrast, there was a significant rise in the data for China, beginning at about 3% in 1990 and reached a peak at about 28% in 2012.

Starting at around 11% in 1990, the figure for the US declined moderately to about 8% in 1995, after that this figure climbed gradually to about 11% in 5 years later before decreasing dramatically to about 5% in the last year. Besides, the percentage of Australian exports to India grown steadily from around 2% to approximately 8% in 2009 before declining to about 5% in 2012.
