The line graph delineates the percentage of money spent on advertising regarding five types of media :TV, newspaper, magazine, radio, and internet.
Overall, until 2020, while the percentage of money invested in TV and internet increased, the other figures witnessed reverse trends. Subsequently, the trends will continue to 2040, except for the share of TV that will fall.
Regarding the period from 2010 to 2020, the percentage of money spent on TV and internet went up while the others declined. Firstly, the proportion of money invested in TV rose gradually from around a half to 60% and the figure for internet also increased sharply from around 10% to a fourth. For the others, the percentage of money invested in radio, newspaper, and magazines declined from around 45% to 40%, 35% to a third, 33% to 28%, respectively.
Concerning the period from 2020 to 2040, the trends will continue, except for the share of TV that will fall. Firstly, the proportion of money that invested in internet is going to experience a noticeable increase of around 40%, from around 25% to 65%. In contrast, the proportion of money invested in radio, newspapers, and magazines are going to decline steadily from around 40% to 30%, from 30% to 20%, from 28% to 18%, in the same order. Additionally, the percentage of money spent on TV is going to decline dramatically from around 60% to 40%, from 2020 to 2030 then experience a slower decrease from around 40% to 28%, from 2030 to 2040.
