The pie charts demonstrate the proportion of users from different age groups on three social media platforms, namely Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube.
It is evident that user distribution varied considerably across the three platforms. Younger ages groups accounted for the largest proportion of users on Twitter, whereas older individuals were more dominant on Youtube and Facebook.
On three platforms, oldest users aged 66 and over represented the smallest proportion. Individuals aged 35 – 49 accounted for the highest percentage and dominates on both platforms namely Youtube and Facebook, while those aged over 66 made up only a minor share.
By contrast, Youtube and Facebook attracted a relatively older audience. Middle-aged users constituted a considerably larger proportion compared to Twitter.
