The graph depicts the changes in proportion of humans born in and outside of australia across three cateogries- in cities, towns and villagaes in 1995 and 2010. The data is measured in percentage.
A clear overall trend reveals that people born in both the cateogries (inside or outside of australia) experience a downward trend in towns and rural areas except the people who were born in cities (in both the cases) demonstrated a significant growth.
In australia, the initial percentage of people born in cities demonstrates an upward trdend, starting from nearly 45% in 1995 to around 62% in 2010. This represents a significant increase of around 17%. Moreover, people who were born outside the country also experienced the same trend which represents a growth of 20% by 2010.
In contrast, People who were born in the nation, in towns and rural areas, both experienced a decline of 3% and 8% respectively, reaching to 17% each by 2010. Similarly, the poplulation of town witnessed a marginal drop of 1% , declining from 16% to 15% by 2010. Lastly, Rural areas witnessed a steep fall, from recording 40% population in 1995 to 7% poplultion in 2010, witnessing a serious decline in the ratio.
