The chart presents the percentage shares of five different industries of Brazil’s economy in the years 2009, 2019 and predictions for the year 2029.
Overall, finance sector presently, and in the future, has the biggest share of Brazil’s economy and will have. By contrast, manufacturing industry, having small shares in previous years, could have a minor portion in the future.
As it can be seen from the bar chart, the finance industry, along with oil, coal and gas mining, occupies a significant place. For the former one, it had just over 30% share in 2009, whilst, the latter one had just over 25%. In 2019, a rise of approximately 5% in each category can be seen, and it is expected that the former one will grow up to around 40%, whilst, the latter one will decline to just over 25% in 2029.
Tourism had the biggest percentage of Brazil’s economy in 2009, roughly 25%. At the same time, food processing and manufacturing had 10% and around 20%, respectively. However, in 2019, food processing surpassed manufacturing with a number of just over 20%, whilst the latter one declined to around 15%, tourism had the same stats as the former one. In 2029, it is predicted that tourism will remain at the same level, whereas, other food processing and manufacturing will decrease by 10% and 5%, respectively.
