The bar chart provides information about estimated illiteracy percentages in six different regions, for males and females, for the previous year.
Overall, in the last 12 months, the proportion of non-educated females outraced that of males in the six regions. The highest rate of illiteracy can be seen in South Asia, while the lowest one was in the developed nations.
According to it is shown, over half of South Asian males were not educated whereas nearly a third of females were unlettered. The illiterate girls accounted for around 52% and just under half, in the Arabian region and the African Sub-Saharan, respectively. However, the boy’s rate was higher in Arabe states with over a quarter, compared to 31% in Africa.
Regards to the remaining places, exactly a fifth of men were not taught in East Asia and Oceania compared to around 8% of women. A close similarity can be seen in the proportion of illiteracy in both sexes, at roughly 2% in industrialized countries, and approximately 11% in Latin America and the Caribbean.
