The bar chart illustrates various types of electronic devices such as smartphone, tablet, laptop and e-reader utilized by people residing in Australia in 2008.
Overall, smartphone had the highest percentage, whereas e-reader had the lowest percentage across various age groups.
With regard to smartphone and tablet, the electronic usage of smartphone had the higest proportion in young age, which was just above 60%. Then, around 40% of people use smartphone in the age group 25 to 50 year old and nearly 30% of age group between 51 and 75 use smartphone. Next, a small amount of people in the age 76 and more use it. Following this, use of tablet had a considerable growth across people from age group of 25 and 50. After that, a tiny percentage of people in the age group of 76 and more use it wisely.
Conversely, laptop usage was at around 40% for age group of 51 to 75 and there was only few young people who use laptop. After that, e-reader had almost 60% of people in the age groups 76 and more, while there was just small amount of people was recorded in other age group categories.
