There are seven activities, namely going to pubs/discos, watching television, shopping, doing homework, doing sport, watching DVDs and Bowling.
It is evident by the data that watching television is the activity that the teenagers in Chester spend the most time on and it has shown steady growth of about 70% from 2002 to 2007. While watching DVDs used to be the activity that utilised the second largest part of the teenager’s week and reached its peak in 2004 (17 hours per week) in 2002, going to pubs/discos has seen a sudden increase in 2007 by about 6 hours per week.
Doing homework and doing sport has seen a steady decline in the years while bowling has seen a very gradual fluctuation coming towards a mild decline in 2007. This data conclusively shows the trends in the activities preferred by the teenagers of Chester from the year of 2002 to 2007.
