Overall,it is immediately noticeable that most teenagers spend time watching television. While only a few people tend to go bowling, the average time spent on other activities are roughly the same.
Upon further inspection of the chart, the hours consumed by television started at 25 hours per week in 2002 and stayed the same for a year. After that, the figure rose steadily and almost reached 40 hours in 2007. Other increasing statistics are going to pubs and shopping. Both started at 7 hours per week in 2007 and incline at roughly the same rate. Going to pubs plateaued at 12 hours from 2004 to 2006 then jumped to 18 hours while shopping only reached 15 hours per week.
In terms of doing homework and sports, the trend seems to decline. In 2002, teens spent about 10 hours in both activities. It had been steadily decreasing as time passed. In 2007 the number fell to 7 hours for homework and 3 hours for sports. The time spent on watching DVDs and bowling fluctuated throughout the year. The average of the former is about 13 hours while the later is about 3-4 hours.
