Band 5: The bar chart below shows the number of students in five different fields of study at a university in 2010 and 2020. (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The bar charts illustrate the number of students enrolled in different fields of study at university in the year 2010 and 2020.

Overall, business had the highest number of students in both years. while, Art sector recorded the lowest figure.

In 2010, business led significantly with 12000 students. Followed by Medical field with 9000 students. Science and Engineering had similar participation with 800 and 600 students respectively. While, Art ranked last position with only 500 students.

Regarding 2020, Business field experienced significantly increased by 16000 students. In additional, Engineering and Medicine filed showed slightly increased in student number with total 1000 and 12000. Furthermore, science also experienced growth in their number with approximately by 800 which is more compared to 2010.

On the other hand, Arts had lowest enrolment in both year with only 500 students in 2010, However, this figure rose to around 600 in 2020, indicating small but noticeable increase in interest.
