The bar graph illustrates the proportion of men and women of diverse age groups in Australia, who did regular physical activities in the year 2010.Overall, the percentage of men from almost all age groups were performing less physical movements than women, however,except for men who were more than 15 and less than 24.
The only age group in men, where more than half of the population is seen to be indulging in physical activites is 15 to 24 with 52.8 pecent. Whereas, females of the same group with 47.7 percent have been recorded. 42.2 percent men who were between 25 and 34 were noted to be doing these activites regularly. More than 40 in 100 women of same age group were performing the same.
The lowest age group in men carrying out these activities were those who fall into the category of 35 to 40 with 39.5 percent men. More than 50 percent women in this age category perform regular physical exercises. Men and women who were more than 45 and less than 64 have no much difference in proportion with men less than 50 percent and women more than 50 percent. The only age group where percentage of men and women indulging in physical activities were nearly the same is people who were 65 and over with 46.7 and 47.1 percent respectively.
