The chart below illustrates the proportion of Australian men and women in different age groups (15 to 24, 25 to 34, 35 to 44, 45 to 54, 55 to 64, 65 and over) who did regular physical activity in 2010.
Overall, compared to men, more different age group of female are doing more regular physical activities. The age group of male of 15 to 24 years old did the regular physical activity the most, while the age group of male of 35 to 44 years old did the regular physical activity the least. The age group of female of 45 to 54 years old did the regular physical activity the most, while the age group of female of 65 and over did the regular physical activity the least.
The trend of men doing regular activity decreased from 52.8% of 15 to 24 years old to 39.5% of 35 to 44 years old, but rose from 39.5 % to 46.7% of 65 and over.
The trend of women experienced an increase from 47.7% of 15 to 24 years old to 53.3% of 45 to 54 years old, but decreased from 53.3% to 47.1% of 65 and over.
