The given bar chart illustrates different contributors to India’s gross domestic product between 1960 and 2000. Overall, it is obvious that while Industry contribution to India’s GDP remained stable with small flactuations, Agriculture and Services saw gradual changes.
According to the data, it is certain that highest percentage of contribution in 1960 was from Agriculture with around 65%, while Industry and Services was nearly equal with about 15%. Over the following 10 years, in 1970, contribution percentage of Agriculture experienced slight decline, while Industry and Services increased from around 15% to over 20%. Over the given period, contribuiton percentage of Industry remained stable, and reached its peak in 1980 with approximately 25%.
Conversely, there were gradual changes in percentage of contribution from Agriculturre and Services. Over the 40 years period, Agriculture experienced significant decrease from about 65% to 15%. However, contribution from Services dramatically increased during this period from about 15% to over 60%.
