The bar graph shows the number of men and women students, both British and international, majoring in Computer Science at a British university from 2010 to 2012.
Overall, there is a big difference in the number of British and international students among both male and female students in 2010. Then, the widening gap of female students stayed unchanged, compared with male students.
First, the figure for British home students is twice as much as international students for both men and women, and the total number of girls is smaller than boys in 2010. Focusing on men, the number of international students rapidly increased to around 20 people from 39 people between 2010 and 2012, while the number of home students decreased by about 15 people, and then it represented just below 45 people during the 3 years.
Conversely, the figure for women British home students grew to about 40 people and levelled off after that; also, that for international students gradually rose throughout the period surveyed.
