Meanwhile, the earnings from young adult books remained stable at around 30 thousand in the first two years. The figure then fell to below 20 thousand dollars in 2008 before rising back to the initial amount in 2010.
The earnings from sci-fi and fantasy books remained below 20 thousand dollars throughout the period. In contrast, the amount of money earned from classic books witnessed a decrease from approximately 18 thousand dollars in 2006 to 10 thousand dollars in 2010. The earnings from mystery books rose from 60 thousand dollars in 2006 to 82 thousand dollars in 2007 before falling to around 55 thousand dollars at the end of the period.
