As is observed, In 2011 the proportion of divorce in Sweden was just over 40% which rose to nearly 50% in 2012. However, after this increase in the rates of marriage separation, it commenced to fall from just under 50% to nearly 40% from 2012 to 2015. On the other hand, in 2011 the divorce rate in Finland was just under 40% which declined to just over 30% in 2012. Additionally, it improved just over 30% to just over 40% between 2012 and 2015.

Overall, both countries’ marriage dissolution rates experienced a fluctuation throughout the period. In 2011 the divorce percentage of Sweden was much more than Finland but at the end of the period it became opposite.
