The bar chart compares the volume of visits to a community website during its first two years of operation. In summary, despite fluctuations in both years, the figures for the second year remained well above those for the first year throughout the period.
Focusing first on the first year, the number of visits experienced considerable fluctuations over the period. The number of visits started at approximately 2,500 in September and then this figure rose sharply to 10,000 by December. However, the figure plunged to around 4,000 in January before dropping further to about 1,000 in February. It then remained stable in March. After that the number of visits began increasing with a sharp rise to 5,000 in April. Subsequently, it continued to increase gradually over the following five months, rising significantly overall from 5,000 in April to 15,000 in August.
In terms of the second year, it showed higher figures despite some fluctuations. The community website started with roughly 4,000 visits in September and reached 5,000 the following month. Therefore, its figure shot up to 17,500 in both November and December before it dipped marginally to around 16,000 in January and still declined substantially to 10,000 in February and March. From April the number of visits rose again to 12,500 and until July it experienced even higher figures and peaked at 22,500, but it fell significantly to around 12,500 in August.
