The bar chart compares five online activities of citizens over a decade. Overall, internet usage showed an upward trend during this ten-year period.
Starting with the data from 2010, people spent the most time reading news, which accounted for half of all the activities. Social networking, online banking, and online shopping were similarly popular, with only a 5% difference between each category. Watching videos, in last place, held just 25%.
Moving on to the informaiton in 2020, it revealed that people watched videos online more than they did in the previous decade, reaching the second place in the table with 80%. Meanwhile, 65% of adults used the internet to read news, which indicating the least internet consumption by just 15% rise . The other three categories maintained similar levels of popularity. However, social networking showed a slight increase in demand, rising to 45%, which placed it among the top online activities in 2020.
