The bar chart given represents the proportion of the total world population in India, China, the USA, and Japan in 1950, 2003, and predictions for 2050.
As is observed from the bar chart, the population in India is estimated to increase, whereas the opposite is expected to be true for the other countries. The most noticeable feature is that Japan was and is projected to be the least while Chinese and Indian nationals would be the most populated countries over the surveyed period.
Standing at 15% in 1950, the total world population in India increased dramatically in 2002 and will continue to rise by nearly 18% by 2050 while the figure for China took a dramatic reduction, which started from around nearly 22% and then dropped by approximately 15%, between 1950 and 2050.
Japan saw a significant decline in the projection of the total world population throughout 100 years while there was a slight drop from roughly 7% to 5% in 2002 and remained unchanged until 2050
