The given bar graph illustrates the total manufacturing and usage of electricity in ten major countries throughout the year 2014. nine of ten countries produced more electricity than they use with one exception, Germany.
Looking from an overall perspective, China and the US had by far the greatest rates of consumption and generation than any of the other countries while Korea and Germany consumed the smallest amount of energy.
Focusing on China and the US, it can be seen that China was the most important country for using electricity during a year which produced 5398 billion kWh of electricity and consumed 76 billion kWh lower than its production. Also, the US produced 4.099 billion kWh of electricity and consumed 233 kWh billion less than its manufacturing.
In 2014, as can be seen that in Russia the proportion of both using and manufacturing electricity was almost equal. As it is shown in the illustration, Korea has the least consumption and production of electricity with about 500 and 450 billion kWh respectively. In contrast, in Germany, the rate of consumption was more than its production. Brazil, France, Canada, India, and Japan approximately had the same proportion.
