The bar chart illustrates ten countries with the biggest production and consumption of electricity in 2014. Overall, China and the United States became become the countries with the most electricity production and usage, while the other eight produced and consumed less than a quarter compared to these two countries. Furthermore, every country countries had a bigger production rate compared to the consumption except for Germany.
There were four Asian countries in the list with China having became the highest electricity production and consumption with 5398 billion kWh and 5322 kWh respectively. Japan and India placed in the fourth and fifth positions with the total number for both production and consumption less than 20% of China’s number. Korea, Rep became become the last Asian country in the list with the electricity production and usage less than 10% compared to China.
Europe, North America and South American America regions region have six representatives in the list. The United States states with production of 4099 billion kWh and consumption of 3866 kWh placed second in the chart. Next to the United states, Russia was in the third position with both numbers half to the United States. The rest of the countries ( Canada, France, Brazil and Germany) placed between sixth and ninth position with the total production and consumption of electricity less than 25% compared to the United states
