The graph below represents the number of hours a teacher spent teaching in multiple schools in four different countries in 2001.
In general, it can be seen that the most time spent by teachers teaching is in the USA while the least time spent by teachers is in Japan in 2001.
looking at the details, Spain and Iceland had quite a similar trend. in upper secondary classes teachers spent approximately 900 hours in both countries. on the other hand , in lower secondary classes teachers in Spain Spent more time teaching than in Iceland. 750 hours in Spain and 600 hours in Iceland.moreover, a similar thing was noticed in Primary schools too, with 650 hours spent teaching in Spain for primary and around 580 hours in Iceland.
On contrary, the difference between hours of teaching is huge between Japan and USA.
in Japan, Upper Secondary got 700 hours of service from teachers. on the other side, the USA got about 1200 hours of service. Furthermore, the same trend is followed in lower secondary schools too. although teachers spent 1000 hours teaching lower secondary grades. in Japan only 650 hours were used by teachers. considering primary, in Japan 600 hours were taught by teachers whereas in the USA 750 hours were taught.
