The bar charts show the frequency in which citizens replace their cars as well as their buying preferences in an European nation in 2009.
Overall, a majority of surveyees changed their automobiles every 3 years or more and second-hand car seemed to be a popular option. The survey also indicated that individuals, who did not own cars, accounted for only a small part of the population.
Specifically, out of 100 surveyed people, almost no one made car replacements annually with only 1 person. Similarly, residents who did not have car or had never swapped cars were only 2 and 3 individuals respectively. The figure for people who replaced their cars after two years was just slightly higher at 5 citizens. In contrast, nearly 40 percent of the surveyees switched automobiles every 3-4 years while that of the 5 years or more group was the highest at 52 people.
Regarding car purchases, second-hand cars were the most prominent choices with up to 80 answers. This figure is followed by new cars with 22 residents preferring this option. Notably, 5 individuals claimed that their choices can vary between new or second-hand cars. In approximately 108 surveyees related to this topic, only 1 person did not own a car.
