Overall,male and female athletes share the same upward trend. On the other hand, female athletes are increasing rapidly year by year, and the number of female athletes has almost approached the number of male athletes.
In 1924, the Olympics was comprehensive: three thousand participants included about 3 thousand male and a little bit female. This number did not last long, as women began participating in the Olympic Games after only 28 years and the male’ quantity still increased with a medium speed. After that, the Olympics had more athletes participating, in the following years, there were more than 10,000 athletes in the final year on the table chart. Most notably, in the number of 5,000 female athletes, this number is almost equal to the number of male athletes. In addition, we can see the quantitative growth of female athletes – a pace that could catch up with the number of male Olympic participants.
