First of all, there was the biggest difference between male and female in 1924, sportsmen stated at about 3000 hovewer sportswomen were just 100. Second, utill 2012, there were a significant rise which man athletes were a little under 5000 in 1952 and a little over 5000 in 1984 while woman athletes were at about 1500. In the end of period, there was a quick improvment in among of athletes, females were 5000 fewer 1000 than males.
there was a dramatic rise of partipicants untill 2012. the percentage of athletes were around 3000 in 1924 and just over 5000 in 1952, and finally in 1984 partipicants were just over 11000 in 2012.
it is clear that, both charts show the number of athletes who were in the olympics since they began, and there were a substantial increase among partipicants. the number of sportsman and woman were been rising each year.
