The given chart and table present information on the average length of stay, most popular accommodation and main activity of tourists to an Australian vacation destination.
Overall, most tourists travel from Asia while the least amount of people come from the rest of the world. Visitors from Europe stay the longest amount of time, while the shortest stays stem from Asian tourists. Tourists that come from Asia and the USA tend to stay at hotels and have their main activities be sightseeing, however, people that travel from Europe and the rest of the world usually stay at campground or caravan parks, as for their main activities, these are more likely to be beach related recreations.
As the chart suggests, Asia has the highest percentage of tourists, at 37%, and as can be seen in the table, its tourists average up to 7 days of stay, the least amount of time out of the four regions. Most Asian travellers choose to stay at a hotel, as for their main activity, they gravitate most towards sightseeing, which is identical to the main activity of the USA tourists, whose amount makes up to 18%. Their average length of stay is double the amount of days Asia’s tourists usually visit, 14 days.
As is presented on the chart, people traveling to Australia from Europe reach a total of 35% and stay the longest period out of the four regions, a total of 16 days. The table reveals that just like the tourists visiting from the rest of the world, whose percentage is the lowest out of all presented categories and makes up 10%, visitors from Europe have a tendency to stay in campgrounds or caravan parks. Tourists that come from the rest of the world usually stay for 10 days, and both Europe and the rest of the world have beach activities as their main pastimes, with the former taking more interest in swimming and sunbathing, while the latter in surfing.
