The chart below shows us a comparison between average occupancy per household in the UK in 1981 and 2001.

To start with, the whole number of people has decreased since 1981 to 2001 in the UK, from 100 to 90 respectively.

However, everything is not clear. Firstly, there are still few places where number of people has increased in spite of the fact that total amount went down. For example, changes have occurred in “person 2”, from 31 to 34.

Nevertheless, there was a gradual decline in the number of “person 6”, in 1981 it was 6 and in 2001 the value has become 4 less, 2. The number of “person 5” has also negatively changed in 20 years, from 8 to 6.
