Overall this chart showacases a variety of waste disposals in a certain country with a direct comparison between the year 1960 and 2011. This includes materials such as paper, green waste, metal, glass, plastic, wood, food, textiles and others.
In the year 1960 paper and textiles recorded the highest amount of disposals followed by food and others. Wood and glass had the least quantity of waste disposals in the country. Only 4 percent of wood was disposed of in 1960
In 2018 both paper, textiles and others saw a sharp decline with others beings the least disposed. On the other hand food and plastics had a steep uprise in the quantity of waste disposal, having a nearly 100 percent increase compared to 1960. In addition, wood waste disposal doubled from 1960 while glass, green waste and metal showcased little to no change at all.
This indicates a huge shift in the type of materials people dump over the years.
