The bar chart compares certain parts of the world in terms of the percentage of average urbanization rate in 1950, 2000 and with the prediction of 2030.
Overall, average urban growth increased all the parts of world year by year. However, Latin America held the dominance all the years.
Looking at the information in more detail, Africa and Asia had almost similar percentage at just over 10% in the first year. Similarly, the proportion of Latin America and Whole world urbanization was 40% and 30% respectively in 1950.
In the next year, all parts of the world increased significantly. The percentages for Africa and Asia tend to be the same at just under 40%. While, Latin America experienced an enormous increase with 30% and reached to 70% in 2000. At the same time, proportions for whole world reached to 50%. In the future, it is predicted that Latin America will reach its peak at 80% of urban rate, while proportion of whole world will be 20% lower. It is expected that Africa and Asia will hold the similarity at approximately 51% average growth of urban in 2030.
