Overall, in 2002, a majority of population belongs to 0 to 14 years of age, but people belonging to 15-59 years will dominate in 2050. In case of Italy, people ranging from 15 years to 59 years dominated in 2002 and expected to dominate in 2050.
Looking at the details, the percentage of people belonging to age group 0-14 experienced a decrease in population from 50.1% to 37%. However, the people between 15-59 years increased from 46.3% to 57.3%. Similarly, percentage of people above 60 years expanded from 3.6% to 5.7%. In case of Italy, population of the children decreased from 14.3% to 11.5%. Also, population of the people between 15- 59 years shrinked from 61% to 46.2%. Population of people above 60 years shroomed from 24.1% to 42.3%. In 2002, age group of 0-14 years dominated in Yemen and 15-59 years in Italy. In 2050, the percentage of people belonging to 15-59 years will be maximum in both countries.
