The bar chart illustrates the funding supplied by six wealthy countries to developing countries from 2008 to 2010.
Overall, among the other industrialized countries, the United States has been the leading assistance contributor throughout the years. Furthermore, Germany is the only country that saw an increase trend between 2008 and 2010.
In 2008, the United States gave around $23 billion in aid, nearly twice the amount supplied by any other country. Even though the funding was cut to $20 billion the next year, it still exceeded the prior totals in 2010 when it approached $25 billion.
Out of all of them, Germany is the only one that had an increase in trend between 2008 and 2010. From $10 billion in 2008, it rose to over $14 billion in 2009 and $15 billion in 2010, respectively. The Netherlands and Sweden did not even reach the $10 billion level during that time.
