The chart compares the average expenditure of contract for four distinct mobile each month in a European country during a 9-month period in 2002, starting from January.
Overall, there was an upward trend in the average cost of contract for cell phones, excepted Alph mobile. In addition, while the cost of Dom cell phone topped the list, the figure for Sim mobile was the lowest and became the highest cost in the end of the period.
The monthly cost of Dom mobile was the highest during 8 months, stood at 15 euro and reached its peak at 25 euro before declining slight to roughly 23 euro in September. In contrast, the monthly cost of Sim cell phone was the lowest the list in the first 6 months, at approximately 6 euro and then the figure for Sim mobile witnessed a significant increase to 25 euro and overtook that of Dom in September.
In terms of other cell phones, the monthly cost of Lex stood at about 12 euro and declined slightly to 10 euro before increasing dramatically to roughly 18 euro in the end of the period. Meanwhile, the monthly cost of Alph stood at just under 10 euro and saw a marginally rise to nearly 15 euro in June, which surpassed the figure for Lex, before plummeting to 8 euro and becoming the lowest cost in September.
